So many of you may have heard of this ban on the game tag. You know...that game that has been played by children for generations? What disturbs me is not the fact that school districts across the country are banning the game, but that people are actually utilizing brain cells to come to the decision to ban the game.
Look at it this way. Now I'm not expert on how policies are created in school systems, but I have a general idea. So one person (all it takes is one) got it in there heads, that it would be a good idea to ban a game that they know won't decrease the number of accidents a child suffers. That person then brought this idea to a committee or some policy making/enforcing body in that school district. THEN (again I'm assuming) there had a to be a MAJORITY vote (notice emphasis on 'majority') to have the game banned at recess in the schools of that district. You see it took more than one assclown to get this game banned.
They say that they did this to 'protect the children from injury.'(I didn't think this was possible) What these people fail to understand is that it isn't the game that causes the injury, but the running. And good luck trying to enforce a 'no running rule' with kids. Many have tried, few have succeeded.
